MY DAD

I have been feeling kind of guilty because I didn't really do anything for Father's Day. Since I have just learned about pictures, I decided to dedicate an entire post to him. So, here's to you Dad!

It's tummy tickle time!
Bedtime stories with Grandpa
Do you remember the song called Daddy's hands? I think it was by the Judd's but I'm not sure. This reminded me of that song.
Dad LOVES being a Grandpa.
Come on people, give me your money!!!
Boys will be boys!!!
Finally some nap time!
The greatest word in the English langauge? Grandpa.

Grandpa, that is a deep hole!Waiting for Ryan.....

Here's to a great Dad.

My babies

Aubrey finally showed me how to post with pictures. So, for all of your viewing enjoyment here are some cute pictures of my niece and nephews. Sorry, but because this is my blog, you get me in most of the pictures!
This is Jaiden and Anna playing "Wake Up!" They pretend to be asleep and then one of them opens their eyes and yells "Wake Up!" Then the both giggle and giggle and giggle. It is so funny.

This is Austin at his First birthday party. We almost got a smile out of him! Isn't he cute?!

This is my cute chubbers Brent! I think about signing him up for baby sumo wrestling. BWWF!Here he is in all his BWWF Glory!!! Don't you just want to eat him he is so cute?!
And this is our darling sweetheart Zach. He just likes to cuddle with me and I like to let him.

Unemployment Packages, Inc.

For those of you who don't know, I have been sick for the last week or so. Work has also been kind of slow. But I was on call on Saturday and it was a day from ____! (I'll leave the blank to your imaginations. I'm trying to keep this G rated.) Anyway, my boss gave me today off to recover. I am feeling a little bit better and was asked to go help clean the church this morning. So, even though I had the day off I still had to get up early. Well, I don't go back to bed very well once I'm up so I had to find things to occupy myself. One of my friends told me yesterday that she was unemployed because she quit her job before finding a new one. So, I decided to make her an unemployment package. The picture is of everything in the package and the rest of this is what I wrote to go along with it! Aubrey helped me and we had a lot of fun! (well, I had fun, Aubrey probably thinks I'm crazy!)

Unemployment Packages, Inc.

Our story: The idea for this came to me when I found out a friend of mine quit her unsatisfying job without a backup plan. While discussing these unfortunate circumstances, she mentioned that she should have found a new job before leaving. I felt for her, being unemployed three seperate times in the year and a half previous to this conversation. While thinking about her situation, I realized that although some people think that you can look for a job every second of every day that you are unemployed, I know that if you do that you will go crazy. So, for the sake of her sanity I decided to develop an unemployment package to provide some variety to the mundane drudgery of job hunting.

Unemployment Package contents and instructions:

-Food to keep from starving.
-Coloring book and crayons to relax your mind, and sudoko pussles to stimulate it.
-Coupon to sit on Amy's hammock whenever you want, (this coupon is unlimited and does not expire) because sometimes it is nice to get away.
-A cute boys phone # because now you have a lot of time to spend with him.
-A door hanger to let people know that you don't want to be bugged because you are busy updating your resume (or something).
-A book of things to do in your community especially now that you have time to do them.
-Princess discs to play frizbee with your dog.
-Water balloons to cool down with when you just need to get out.
-"I'm special" ribbon to remember that no matter what future employers think, you are special!

That's one

So, I realized I haven't done a joke for a while. I don't remember where I got this one from but here it is.

There once was a farmer who lived in an area with very few marriage prospects. He looked and looked but couldn't find a wife. Because he was lonely he decided to get a mail order bride. The day came that his wife was to arrive. He hooked his mule up to his wagon and went to town. After a quick wedding they loaded up the wagon and headed out to the farm. After a while the mule got kind of tired and stopped. After some prodding the farmer was able to get the mule to go again. "That's one," he said as they started going. A little while later the mule stopped to eat some grass. Once again, the farmer prodded the mule along. "That's two," he said as they set out again. As they got close to the farm the mule stopped once more. The farmer grabbed his shotgun, got out of the wagon, and shot the mule. "That's three," he calmly replied as he climbed back in the wagon. His wife was shocked. "Why did you do that?" she asked. "He was a perfectly good mule!" "That's one," the farmer said.

weekend fun

This has been a very fun weekend for me. I was able to go to the annual Wilkey family reunion/camping trip. I was so excited. I haven't been able to attend the last few years and have missed out. But, this weekend I pulled some strings and made it work. Every year the Wilkey family gets together and camps for three days and two nights up at Payson Lakes. For those of you who haven't been there, I highly recommend it, even if it is only for a day trip. The area is beautiful. I have decided that I need to go camping more often. I really enjoy it.
Saturday morning my mom and I headed up to Logan with Ryan and Jenna to help them move. We stopped at Amber and Daves to shower. They gave us fresh peas and some roses that smell wonderful. Thanks guys!!!
The trip to Logan should have taken 2 hours at the very most but there was a really bad accident so, trying to avoid it, the trip ended up taking 4 hours. I almost thought I was going to die! It also killed our gas mileage. We were at a stand still for long periods of time. Not fun!
We finally got to Logan at about 3 in the afternoon. We spent about 4 or 5 hours helping Ryan and Jenna move their stuff to their new place, and then we headed back to Vernal. Sorry I didn't visit anyone while I was up there but I had to be back in Vernal by 6 this morning and I really didn't want to be driving at three or four in the morning . We did end up stopping at the Pita Pit for lunch/dinner though. I statisfied a three month craving. :-) Maybe someday Vernal will branch out and get some more restaurants.

May updates

Ok, so I was checking out everyone's blogs and I realized that if I waited one more day to post something, it would be a full month since I last blogged. So, I thought that I had better let everyone know what was going on so that you didn't think that I died.
I have been very busy this last month. During the month of May I went to three different weddings. I knew a lot more people that actually got married but I was only able to make it to three of them. It was a lot of fun to see everyone. Congrats to you all, sorry if I missed yours. I'd like to think that I can be in multiple places at once, but I haven't quite figured that one out yet. Someday....
I also have three different callings in church. I am trying to get rid of two of them but to no avail. Some times it is tempting to go MIA. To bad about that conscience thing. Oh well, whatever.
I have also been working a lot. I feel like I live at my job. It is a good thing that I like it. I guess that is it. It doesn't look like a lot when I type it out, but it felt like a lot while I was going through it.
For those of you who don't know, Amanda had her baby on Monday. I haven't been able to see him in person yet but I have seen pictures. Link to her blog to see them. When I talked to my mom on Monday she said that he was a beautiful baby. I thought, "yeah, he's related to me. How could you think any differently?" Plus, Amanda and Carlos do make beautiful babies. I now have 4 nephews and one niece. (Who among those do you think is spoiled? Ok, your right, they all are. ;-))
I also got to go on another motorcycle ride on Monday. I really think that I just need to buy my own bike. I would save a lot of time, energy, and money. I wouldn't have to keep asking all the boys for rides and I would save a ton on gas. Plus, this bike I rode on Monday was actually short enough that I could touch the ground. It gave me new hope. :-)
Anyway, that is just a little of what has been going on for the past month. Maybe I will suprise everyone and post sooner next time.....
